KHING

Stool

KHING: Intertwined Forest Form A sculptural stool representing tropical trees and intertwined vines, transforming forest liana from Ratchaburi into functional design.

Brass legs are cast in organic tree-branch forms. The seat is woven from liana vines—often removed from forests—repurposed here to create a tension-bearing woven surface.

Lianas are integral to rainforest ecosystems, yet they are sometimes treated as unwanted vegetation. KHING repositions this natural material into collectible seating, expressing coexistence between trees and vines while promoting environmental mindfulness and sustainable material reuse within contemporary interiors.
