The Mahasamut Caviar Tray is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with wood carving in a unique, ear-shaped design. Finished in layers of Urushi lacquer, each tray undergoes a detailed process—primed, sanded smooth, and coated in clear lacquer. Traditional Lai Rod Nam, or “Water Rinsing” technique, is then applied: a pattern is perforated onto paper, dusted with powder, and adorned with yellow mineral paint and gold leaf. Finally, the yellow mineral is washed away, revealing the intricate design beneath. This tray transforms each caviar serving into a display of time-honored craftsmanship and elegance.
