Traditional shadow play art

Wasun is derived from ancient techniques from the 15th century, involving the art of shadow play with cowhide. The hide is intricately carved using small needles arranged in hundreds of dots. Certain parts of the surface are covered with gold leaf, revealing beautiful wave patterns. Wasun can be used for serving food or as a decorative container.
