Bakfeong stool design reflects culture and the material from the local that is reused for modern decoration. Bakfeong stool is similar to the six V-shaped of a Starfruit. This cutting pattern is designed by the constraint of the original material which made of a small loom. We use reed mat from Far East province where the pattern is explicated by the community. The “window” pattern is developed and matched with new color palette that is suitable for usage and the nowadays modern living space. Reed mat is durable and fit to the rubbing of interior used, helping us extending the furniture lifetime.
